HOUSTON, August 2026 — Stratum Reservoir ("Stratum"), the leading global energy measurement and testing company and Whitson AS ("whitson"), the leading provider of software and engineering solutions for petroleum engineers are pleased to announce an integration that enables processed PVT laboratory data from Stratum's PVTCalculator™ platform to be delivered directly into whitsonPVT for customers in Norway.
The collaboration creates a more connected workflow between PVT laboratories and petroleum engineers by reducing the need for manual transfer of laboratory data from reports, PDFs, and spreadsheets into engineering software. The integration also supports compatibility with the Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) standard, allowing operators to more easily incorporate the workflow into their existing digital ecosystems.
Stratum's PVTCalculator transforms raw laboratory measurements into standardized, quality-controlled PVT datasets through an integrated workflow that combines data processing, validation, visualization, comparison, and reporting. Once processed and quality checked, the data can be transferred directly into whitsonPVT, providing engineers with immediate access to laboratory results within their fluid modeling environment.
