We’re happy to share the latest release of whitson+, fresh out of the coding oven. There is a lot of new functionality in this release, the whole overview can be seen below.

whitson+ – comprehensive software updates list 

  • Updated Software Filtering
    • Add multiple filtering criteria.
    • New condition: “in”, relevant for text fields, to look for matches within the text.
    • Filters are persistent through all features, including Type Well and Auto-Forecast.
  • Type Well
    • Speed increase: 100x faster load times.
    • Well handling: Can handle 100x as many wells.
    • Max wells: Ability to set what the max number of wells are in the type well feature.
    • Synced highlighting across type well plot, probit and GIS map.
    • GIS
      • Lasso select / deselect.
      • Lasso highlight.
      • CTRL + click to select / deselect wells.
    • Probit plot update
      • Toggle to show or remove regression line.
      • Table view format.
      • Highlighting linked to all other plots.
      • More plot options: IP180, CUM30, CUM60, CUM90, CUM180.
    • Possibility to select / deselect wells from the Related Properties table.
    • Copy/duplicate a saved Type Well.
  • Auto-Forecast
    • Update of the autofit initialization menu with more options and flexibility
    • Option to copy autofit results into single well DCA
    • Create roll-up plots with any saved case.
    • Copy/duplicate a saved Auto-Forecast.
  • Numerical Model Autofit
    • Select parameters to autofit.
    • Set ranges to autofit.
    • Set weight factors for regression/optimization process.
  • Bulk Run/Edit/Export
    • Set GOR based on prod data rule.
    • Bulk edit critical depth used in liquid loading calculations.
    • Bulk edit Simple Material Balance input.
    • Bulk run Separator Shrinkage method.
  • Other
    • Scenarios: Rename of Analyses to Scenario.
    • Default well header inputs: More default well header data: sub-field, formation, operator, spud date, rig release date, first prod date, completion date, vintage and TVD.
